वालकाण्डहतैरन्यान्फेत्कारैरपरान्रिपून् / गात्रव्यामर्द्दनैरन्यान्नखघातैस्तथापरान्
vālakāṇḍahatairanyānphetkārairaparānripūn / gātravyāmarddanairanyānnakhaghātaistathāparān
Others he felled as though snapping tender branches; other foes he terrified with his trumpeting; others he crushed by grinding them beneath his body; and still others he tore with blows of his claws.
