ददर्श परितो राजन्मुनिशिष्यशतावृतम् / व्याख्यानवेदिकामध्ये निविष्टं कुशविष्टरे / सितश्मश्रुजटाकूर्चब्रह्मसूत्रोपशोभितम्
dadarśa parito rājanmuniśiṣyaśatāvṛtam / vyākhyānavedikāmadhye niviṣṭaṃ kuśaviṣṭare / sitaśmaśrujaṭākūrcabrahmasūtropaśobhitam
O King, he saw the sage surrounded on all sides by a hundred disciples, seated upon a kuśa-grass seat in the midst of the teaching dais, adorned with white beard, matted locks, a kuśa tuft, and the sacred thread, the brahmasūtra.
