Śrāddha-kalpa: Amarakantaka–Tīrtha-Māhātmya and Akṣaya Pitṛ-Tarpaṇa
ऋग्यजुः सामशिरसः कपोताः पुष्पसाह्वयाः / आख्यान पञ्चमा वेदाः सृष्टा ह्येते स्वयंभुवा
ṛgyajuḥ sāmaśirasaḥ kapotāḥ puṣpasāhvayāḥ / ākhyāna pañcamā vedāḥ sṛṣṭā hyete svayaṃbhuvā
From the head-portions of the Ṛg, Yajur, and Sāma arose the branches called Kapota and Puṣpa; and with Ākhyāna (sacred narrative) as the fifth Veda, all these were created by Svayaṃbhū.
