Kapila’s Conclusion: Limits of Karma and Yoga; Supremacy of Bhakti and Qualification to Receive the Teaching
य इदं शृणुयादम्ब श्रद्धया पुरुष: सकृत् । यो वाभिधत्ते मच्चित्त: स ह्येति पदवीं च मे ॥ ४३ ॥
ya idaṁ śṛṇuyād amba śraddhayā puruṣaḥ sakṛt yo vābhidhatte mac-cittaḥ sa hy eti padavīṁ ca me
O Mother, whoever hears this even once with faith, and whoever, with mind fixed on Me, hears and chants My name and glories, surely attains My supreme abode.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports of the Third Canto, Thirty-second Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “Entanglement in Fruitive Activities.”
This verse states that hearing these teachings with faith—even a single time—or reciting them with the mind fixed on the Lord leads one to attain the Lord’s own abode/position.
Kapila instructs His mother Devahuti on bhakti-yoga and emphasizes the extraordinary potency of faithful hearing and devotional recitation as direct means to reach Him.
Regularly listen to authentic Bhagavatam teachings with faith and recite or speak them while consciously remembering the Lord—making devotion the center of attention and intention.
