Viśvarūpa’s Death, Vṛtrāsura’s Manifestation, and the Devas’ Surrender to Nārāyaṇa

yuṣmabhyaṁ yācito ’śvibhyāṁ dharma-jño ’ṅgāni dāsyati tatas tair āyudha-śreṣṭho viśvakarma-vinirmitaḥ yena vṛtra-śiro hartā mat-teja-upabṛṁhitaḥ
When the Aśvinī-kumāras beg Dadhyañca on your behalf, Dadhyañca, well versed in dharma, will surely give his limbs out of affection—do not doubt it. Then Viśvakarmā will fashion from his bones the finest weapon, the vajra; empowered by My own potency, it will certainly take Vṛtrāsura’s head.
This verse states that Dadhīci, described as a knower of dharma, will give his own limbs when requested, enabling the creation of a divine weapon for the devas’ mission.
The verse indicates that when the Aśvins request Dadhīci, he will donate his limbs so that Viśvakarmā can craft the supreme weapon needed to defeat Vṛtra.
The shloka highlights dharma-guided giving: offering one’s resources for a higher, righteous purpose—without selfish motive—when it genuinely benefits others.
