śrī-vaitālikā ūcuḥ sabhāsu satreṣu tavāmalaṁ yaśo gītvā saparyāṁ mahatīṁ labhāmahe yas tām anaiṣīd vaśam eṣa durjano dviṣṭyā hatas te bhagavan yathāmayaḥ
The inhabitants of Vaitālika-loka said: O Lord, by singing Your spotless glories in great assemblies and sacrificial arenas, we used to receive great honor. But this wicked demon seized that position. Now, by Your grace, he has been slain—just as a chronic disease is cured.
It says that by singing the Lord’s spotless fame in gatherings and sacrificial settings, devotees gain the great opportunity to worship and serve Him.
They describe him as a harmful, oppressive force; the Lord’s slaying of him is likened to removing an illness—restoring well-being to the world and to the devotees.
Regularly glorify God through kīrtana, study, or prayer in community; it strengthens devotion and helps remove destructive influences like hatred, pride, and oppression from one’s life.
