Prahlāda Rejects Demonic Diplomacy and Proclaims Navadhā Bhakti
jitaṁ tvayaikena jagat-trayaṁ bhruvor vijṛmbhaṇa-trasta-samasta-dhiṣṇyapam na tasya cintyaṁ tava nātha cakṣvahe na vai śiśūnāṁ guṇa-doṣayoḥ padam
O lord, we know that when you simply move your eyebrows, all the commanders of the various planets are most afraid. Without the help of any assistant, you have conquered all the three worlds. Therefore, we do not find any reason for you to be morose and full of anxiety. As for Prahlāda, he is nothing but a child and cannot be a cause of anxiety. After all, his bad or good qualities have no value.
This verse says the Lord single-handedly controls and conquers the three worlds, and even a slight movement—like raising His eyebrows—makes the cosmic rulers tremble, showing His power is beyond our full conception.
After the Lord protected him and displayed overwhelming divine might, Prahlāda offers praise with humility, admitting that a small being cannot evaluate the Lord’s actions in terms of ordinary virtue and fault.
Cultivate humility in spiritual practice: instead of judging God or destiny by limited standards, focus on sincere devotion and trust that the Supreme is beyond our partial understanding.
