कंसवत्यां देवश्रवस: सुवीर इषुमांस्तथा । बक: कङ्कात् तु कङ्कायां सत्यजित्पुरुजित् तथा ॥ ४१ ॥
kaṁsavatyāṁ devaśravasaḥ suvīra iṣumāṁs tathā bakaḥ kaṅkāt tu kaṅkāyāṁ satyajit purujit tathā
By Kaṁsavatī, Devaśravā begot two sons—Suvīra and Iṣumān. Kaṅka, by his wife Kaṅkā, begot three sons—Baka, Satyajit, and Purujit.
It lists the descendants born from Kaṁsavatī and Kaṅkā—naming Devaśravas, Suvīra, Iṣumān, Baka, Satyajit, and Purujit—within the Yadu dynasty genealogy.
To preserve the sacred history of the dynasties connected to the Lord’s pastimes—especially the Yadus—showing how the Lord’s līlā unfolds within time, families, and dharma-bound lineages.
By valuing spiritual heritage and continuity—remembering that bhakti is carried through hearing and faithful transmission, just as the Bhāgavatam carefully transmits names, relationships, and sacred history.
