Genealogies from Yayāti’s Sons to the Yadu Dynasty; Romapāda–Ṛṣyaśṛṅga; Kārtavīryārjuna; and the Rise of Yādava Branches
जनमेजयस्तस्य पुत्रो महाशालो महामना: । उशीनरस्तितिक्षुश्च महामनस आत्मजौ ॥ २ ॥
janamejayas tasya putro mahāśālo mahāmanāḥ uśīnaras titikṣuś ca mahāmanasa ātmajau
From Sṛñjaya came a son named Janamejaya. From Janamejaya came Mahāśāla; from Mahāśāla, Mahāmanā; and from Mahāmanā came two sons—Uśīnara and Titikṣu.
They are described here as the two sons of the noble-minded king Janamejaya, appearing in the Ninth Canto’s genealogical narration.
To preserve the sacred lineage of righteous kings and to show how dharma and devotion flow through historical dynasties leading toward the Lord’s pastimes and teachings.
Greatness is linked with character—broad-mindedness, nobility, and forbearance—qualities that should guide leadership and family life today.
