Śālva Attacks Dvārakā; Pradyumna Leads the Defense
Saubha-vimāna and Māyā-yuddha
देवासुरमनुष्याणां गन्धर्वोरगरक्षसाम् । अभेद्यं कामगं वव्रे स यानं वृष्णिभीषणम् ॥ ६ ॥
devāsura-manuṣyāṇāṁ gandharvoraga-rakṣasām abhedyaṁ kāma-gaṁ vavre sa yānaṁ vṛṣṇi-bhīṣaṇam
Śālva chose a vehicle that could not be destroyed by gods, demons, humans, Gandharvas, Uragas, or Rākṣasas; that could go wherever he wished; and that would strike terror into the Vṛṣṇis.
This verse says Śālva obtained a desire-moving, impenetrable vehicle that even devas, asuras, humans, Gandharvas, serpents, and Rākṣasas could not break, and it became terrifying to the Vṛṣṇis.
In the narrative of Canto 10, Śālva attacks Dvārakā; this boon-like vehicle empowered his assault and intensified the threat to Krishna’s dynasty, setting the stage for Krishna’s decisive protection of His devotees.
Even when opposition seems invincible, the Bhagavatam teaches reliance on the Lord’s shelter—material power and fear can rise suddenly, but divine protection and dharma ultimately prevail.
