antaḥ-pura-janaiḥ prītyā mukundaḥ phulla-locanaiḥ sa-sambhramair abhyupetaḥ prāviśad rāja-mandiram
With eyes wide in joy, the members of the royal household hurried forward in loving reverence to greet Lord Mukunda, and thus the Lord entered the royal palace.
This verse shows that when Kṛṣṇa appears, devotees’ eyes ‘blossom’ with happiness and they naturally rush to receive Him with affectionate reverence.
Mukunda means the giver of liberation (mukti) and bliss; the Bhagavatam uses this name to highlight that meeting Kṛṣṇa brings the highest spiritual joy and ultimate freedom.
Cultivate a mood of loving attentiveness—receive Kṛṣṇa through sincere prayer, kīrtana, and respectful remembrance, as the palace residents welcomed Him with eager devotion.
