Kṛṣṇa Visits Trivakrā; Akrūra’s Praise and the Hastināpura Mission
इत्यक्रूरं समादिश्य भगवान् हरिरीश्वर: । सङ्कर्षणोद्धवाभ्यां वै तत: स्वभवनं ययौ ॥ ३६ ॥
ity akrūraṁ samādiśya bhagavān harir īśvaraḥ saṅkarṣaṇoddhavābhyāṁ vai tataḥ sva-bhavanaṁ yayau
Thus instructing Akrūra, the Supreme Lord Bhagavān Hari then returned to His own residence, accompanied by Śrī Saṅkarṣaṇa and Uddhava.
Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda to the Tenth Canto, Forty-eighth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “Kṛṣṇa Pleases His Devotees.”
This verse shows that Lord Hari personally gives clear direction to His devotee Akrūra and then proceeds with His associates—highlighting the Lord’s active guidance in devotional life.
In this section, Kṛṣṇa gives Akrūra specific instructions connected to the unfolding Mathurā affairs, using him as a trusted devotee and messenger within His līlā.
Like Akrūra, a devotee should accept divine guidance through śāstra and genuine sādhus, then act faithfully—seeing service as the next step after receiving instruction.
