O Bhagavān, we take shelter of You. You are the solid mass of perfectly pure spiritual awareness, eternally established in Your own original being. Your will is never thwarted; thus You are complete in all that is desirable, and by Your divine potency You remain forever beyond the flow of māyā’s qualities.
This verse states that by His own effulgence the Lord eternally causes the flow of māyā’s modes to cease in relation to Him—He is self-established, pure consciousness, and untouched by material qualities.
He emphasizes the Lord’s absolute sovereignty: unlike conditioned beings whose plans are obstructed by karma and time, the Supreme Lord’s will is always fulfilled because everything rests within Him.
Regular remembrance and meditation on the Lord’s transcendence helps one detach from the push of the modes (guṇas) and live with clearer discernment, steadier mind, and devotion-centered priorities.
