सर्वास्ता: केशवालोकपरमोत्सवनिर्वृता: । जहुर्विरहजं तापं प्राज्ञं प्राप्य यथा जना: ॥ ९ ॥
sarvās tāḥ keśavāloka- paramotsava-nirvṛtāḥ jahur viraha-jaṁ tāpaṁ prājñaṁ prāpya yathā janāḥ
Seeing their beloved Keśava again, all the gopīs rejoiced in the greatest celebration. They cast off the burning pain of separation, just as people forget their misery when they gain the company of an enlightened sage.
This verse says the gopīs, simply by seeing Keśava, felt supreme joy and their viraha-born burning anguish disappeared—darśana of Kṛṣṇa itself becomes the remedy.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates to Mahārāja Parīkṣit during the Rāsa-līlā episode, describing how the gopīs’ distress ends when Kṛṣṇa reappears before them.
Deep longing for God can be transformed through sincere remembrance and seeking darśana—keeping steady association with wisdom (sādhu/śāstra) and devotion reduces inner heat and anxiety.
