Nanda’s Captivity by Varuṇa and the Revelation of the Spiritual World

O King, the cowherd men, their minds filled with eager longing, considered Kṛṣṇa to be the Supreme Lord. They thought, “Will the Lord of all grant us His subtle, transcendental destination—His supreme abode?”
The cowherd men were filled with excitement upon hearing how Kṛṣṇa had gone to the abode of Varuṇa to rescue His father. Suddenly realizing that they were in fact dealing with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they joyfully conjectured among themselves about their auspicious destination after finishing their present life.
This verse shows the Vraja cowherds, recognizing Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Lord, eagerly expecting Him to disclose their “subtle” (transcendental) destination—implying that the Lord personally reveals and grants the devotee’s true spiritual goal.
Because once they understood Kṛṣṇa’s supreme position, their longing intensified to know what He would grant them—specifically, their own eternal, transcendental attainment under His shelter.
Cultivate firm faith that the Lord guides one’s ultimate good; instead of anxiety about outcomes, deepen devotion and service, trusting that spiritual clarity and direction are revealed through sincere bhakti.
