The Brāhmaṇas’ Wives Blessed (Brāhmaṇa-patnī-prasāda) — Ritualism Humbled by Bhakti
भगवानपि गोविन्दस्तेनैवान्नेन गोपकान् । चतुर्विधेनाशयित्वा स्वयं च बुभुजे प्रभु: ॥ ३६ ॥
bhagavān api govindas tenaivānnena gopakān catur-vidhenāśayitvā svayaṁ ca bubhuje prabhuḥ
Bhagavān Govinda satisfied the cowherd boys with that food in four varieties. Then the all-powerful Lord Himself partook of the preparations.
It shows that Kṛṣṇa personally nourishes His devotees and that sanctified food, received through His arrangement, becomes a medium of divine care and satisfaction.
In this pastime, food obtained through the devotion of the brāhmaṇas’ wives becomes Kṛṣṇa’s arrangement to lovingly satisfy His friends, highlighting that devotion—not mere ritual status—draws the Lord’s grace.
Offer your meals with devotion, honor food as prasāda, and cultivate the mood that God is the true nourisher—sharing and serving others as an extension of bhakti.
