यदि वासि तिरोजनं यदि वा नद्यऽस्तिरः । इयं ह मह्यं त्वामोषधिर्बद्ध्वेव न्यानयत्
yádi vā́si tirojanáṃ yádi vā nadí astíraḥ | iyáṃ há máhyaṃ tvā́m óṣadhir baddhvèva nyā́nayat ||
If thou abidest beyond the folk, or if thou stayest on this side the river—this herb, indeed, for me hath brought thee hither, as though having bound thee fast.
