Sukta 17
वयो न वृक्षं सुपलाशमासदन्त्सोमास इन्द्रं मन्दिनश्चमूषदः । प्रैषामनीकं शवसा दविद्युतद् विदत् स्व१र्मनवे ज्योतिरार्यम्
váyo ná vṛ́kṣaṁ su-palā́śam āsadan sómāsa índraṁ mándinaś camū-ṣádaḥ | prá eṣām ánīkaṁ śávasā dávidyutad vídat svàr mánave jyótir ā́ryam ||
As birds upon a fair-leaved tree alight, so the gladdening Soma-juices, seated in the bowl, alighted upon Indra. Forth flashed their front with might; it won for Manu heaven—light, the noble (Aryan) radiance.
