अरंगरो वावदीति त्रेधा बद्धो वरत्रया । इरामह प्रशंसत्यनिरामप सेधति
araṅgaró vá̄vadīti tredhā́ baddhó varatráyā | irā́maha práśaṁsaty anirā́m ápa sedhati ||
The creaker ever sounds; bound threefold with a thong. The praiser of Irā proclaims it: it thrusts away sickness, leaving none of ill.
Rishi: Atharvanic/appendix tradition (AV20 is largely RV-derived; specific r̥ṣi attribution for this verse is uncertain without padānukramaṇī collation).
Devata: Apotropaic efficacy / Irā (nourishing power) as invoked support
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like cadence (needs metrical verification against pada lengths)
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"vira","emotional_arc":"From alert warding (sound/binding) to serene assurance (anirām).","listener_experience":"Safety, containment, confidence that illness is being pushed out.","intensity":5}
