Sukta 133
मातुष्टे किरणौ द्वौ निवृत्तः पुरुषानृते । न वै कुमारि तत्तथा यथा कुमारि मन्यसे
mātúṣ te kiraṇáu dváu nivṛ́ttaḥ púruṣānṛte | ná vaí kumāri tát tathā́ yáthā kumāri mányase
From the mother, for thee, the two ‘rays’ are held back—through a man’s untruth. Not truly, O maiden, is that so, as, O maiden, thou imaginest.
Rishi: Uncertain.
Devata: Satya/Truth as implicit power; otherwise pragmatic address to the maiden.
Chandas: Uncertain (khila material; approximate anuṣṭubh).
