ayám emi vicā́kaśad vicinván dāsám ā́ryam | pibā́mi pā́kasutvano’bhí dhī́ram acākaśaṃ víśvasmā́d índra úttaraḥ ||
Forth go I, clear-shining, choosing apart the Dāsa from the Ārya. I drink of the well-prepared pressing; full in front of me stands the steadfast one made manifest: from all men, O Indra, thou art the higher.
Rishi: Rigvedic attribution (Indra/Vṛṣākapi cycle): traditionally connected with Indra-related seers; AVŚ 20 preserves RV material—exact r̥ṣi assignment varies by anukramaṇī tradition.
Devata: Indra (with Vṛṣākapi context in adjacent verses)
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (with refrain-like cadence)
