índraḥ sutrā́mā svávāṁ ávobhiḥ sumṛḍī́ko bhavatu viśvávedāḥ | bā́dhatāṁ dvéṣo abháyaṁ naḥ kṛṇotu suvī́ryasya pátayaḥ syāma
May Indra, the good Protector, self-strong, with his saving aids, be gracious—All-knowing. Let him beat back Hatred; let him make for us Fearlessness: may we be lords of good hero-power.
Rishi: Traditionally associated with Indra-stuti material; in AV 20 many hymns are RV reprises (r̥ṣi as in RV source).
Devata: Indra
Chandas: Likely Triṣṭubh/Jagatī-type RV meter (as AV 20 is largely RV-derived); requires metrical verification per pada count.
