अवनम्। हरिः सुपर्णो दिवमारुहोऽर्चिषा ये त्वा दिप्सन्ति दिवमुत्पतन्तम्। अव तां जहि हरसा जातवेदोऽबिभ्यदुग्रोऽर्चिषा दिवमा रोह सूर्य
avanám | háríḥ supárṇo divám ā́ruho ’rcíṣā yé tvā dípsanti divám utpátantam | áva tā́n jahi hárasā jātavedo ’bíbhyad ugró ’rcíṣā divám ā́ roha sū́rya ||
A bringing-down. The tawny, fair-winged (Sun) mounteth heaven with radiance; those who would fain harm thee as thou springest upward to the sky—smite them down with fiery might, O Jātavedas; feared, fierce with thy flame, ascend thou unto heaven, O Sūrya.
