In the upward quarter, as erst was done, enclosed in Svadhā, I set thee—released from mortal arms—upon the Earth, as though aloft like Heaven. We worship the World-fashioners, the Path-fashioners, who have their portion in the gods’ oblations: be ye here present.
Rishi: Antyeṣṭi/Pitṛmedha Atharvanic tradition (anukramaṇī-dependent)
Devata: Pitṛ-associated ‘world- and path-makers’
Chandas: Mixed; cadence comparable to the adjacent verse (edition-dependent)
