Sukta 2

दण्डं हस्तादाददानो गतासोः सह श्रोत्रेण वर्चसा बलेन । अत्रैव त्वमिह वयं सुवीरा विश्वा मृधो अभिमातीर्जयेम

daṇḍáṃ hastā́d ādádāno gatā́soḥ sahá śrótreṇa várcasā bálenā | atráivá tvám ihá vayáṃ suvī́rā víśvā mṛ́dho abhímātīr jayema

Taking the staff from the hand of him whose breath is gone, with hearing, with splendour, with strength—here, even here, do thou remain; and here may we, rich in good heroes, conquer all assaults and all malignant plots.
