Sukta 3
अश्वाः कणा गावस्तण्डुला मशकास्तुषाः
áśvāḥ kaṇā́ gā́vas taṇḍulā́ maśakā́s tuṣā́ḥ
Horses are its grains; cows its rice-kernels; mosquitoes its husks.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angirasa tradition (hymn-level attribution varies by Anukramaṇī)
Devata: Not a single devatā; operative speech addressing/defining a composite entity (often treated as a ‘thing’ to be mastered).
Chandas: Mixed/irregular (catalogue-style); often treated as non-classical anuṣṭubh-like cadence.
