Sukta 10
वायुरमित्राणामिष्वग्राण्याञ्चतु । इन्द्र एषां बाहून् प्रति भनक्तु मा शकन् प्रतिधामिषुम्। आदित्य एषामस्त्रं वि नाशयतु चन्द्रमा युतामगतस्य पन्थाम्
vāyúr amítrāṇām iṣv-ágrāṇy ā́ñcatu | índra eṣā́ṃ bāhū́n práti bhanaktu mā́ śakān pratidhā́m íṣum | ādityá eṣā́m ástraṃ ví nāśayatu candrámā yutā́m ágatasya pánthām ||
Let Vāyu turn aside the foemen’s arrow-points. Let Indra break their arms in counter-stroke: let them not have power to set the arrow to its aim. Let Āditya shatter their weapon utterly; let Moon yoke for the ungoing one a path astray.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition
Devata: Vāyu, Indra, Āditya, Candramas (a coordinated protective pantheon)
Chandas: Mixed/expanded Anuṣṭubh-like cadence (probable; longer pādas suggest Atharvanic flexibility)
{"primary_rasa":"vira","secondary_rasa":"raudra","emotional_arc":"From alert defense (Vāyu) to decisive disabling (Indra/Āditya) to cool strategic misdirection (Moon).","listener_experience":"Heightened courage and tactical clarity; sense of being guarded by a coordinated cosmic team.","intensity":7}
