Sukta 5
६॥ (७) ४२-५० (१-९) विहव्यः। प्राजापत्या अनुष्टुप्, ४४ त्रिपदा गायत्रीगर्भानुष्टुप्, ५० त्रिष्टुप्। यं वयं मृगयामहे तं वधै स्तृणवामहै । व्यात्ते परमेष्ठिनो ब्रह्मणापीपदाम तम्
yáṃ vayáṃ mṛgayā́mahe táṃ vadháiḥ str̥ṇavāmahai | vyā́tte paraméṣṭhino bráhmaṇā́pīpadāma tám
Whom we pursue as quarry, him with slayings would we strew low. Into the wide-open (power) of the Highest Lord—by sacred spell—we have made that man to fall.
