Sukta 10
तिस्रो जिह्वा वरुणस्यान्तर्दीद्यत्यासनि । तासां या मध्ये राजति सा वशा दुष्प्रतिग्रहा
tísro jihvā́ váruṇasyā́ntardī́dyatyā ásani | tāsā́ṃ yā́ mádhye rā́jati sā́ vaśā́ dúṣpratigrahā́
Three are the tongues of Varuṇa, shining inwardly; of them, that which in the midst is resplendent—she is the Vaśā, hard to be accepted.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (anukramaṇī attribution to be verified).
Devata: Varuṇa; Vaśā as hypostatized power.
Chandas: Likely Anuṣṭubh/late mixed; confirm by metrical count in critical text.
{"primary_rasa":"bhayankara","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"Awe/unease → sober composure through recognition.","listener_experience":"Heightened caution; inward moral attention; respect for boundaries.","intensity":6}
