Between a royal favorite (subhagā) and a prince: the prince oppresses—personally and through his favorites—by seizures, ‘favored demands,’ pressure on storehouses/markets, and forced requisitions for works; the favorite harms through luxury and consumption—so say the teachers.
Two channels of court harm: direct coercive extraction (often by princes and their cliques) and fiscal drain through luxury consumption (often via favored consorts).
