पाने तु शब्दादीनामिन्द्रियार्थानामुपभोगः प्रीतिदानं परिजनपूजनं कर्मश्रमवधश्च इति ॥ कZ_०८.३.५७ ॥
Transliteration
pāne tu śabdādīnām indriyārthānām upabhogaḥ prītidānaṃ parijanapūjanaṃ karmaśramavadhaś ca iti
Translation
In drinking, there is indulgence in sense-objects beginning with sound; giving gifts merely to please; honoring/feasting one’s entourage; and the wasting of effort and the destruction of productive work—these are (its effects).
