चलितशास्त्रस्तु शास्त्रादन्यथाभिनिविष्टबुद्धिरन्यायेन राज्यमात्मानं चोपहन्तीति ॥ कZ_०८.२.१२ ॥
calitaśāstras tu śāstrād anyathābhiniviṣṭabuddhir anyāyena rājyam ātmānaṃ copahantīti
But the one who has deviated from śāstra—his mind fixed in a course contrary to it—harms both the state and himself through injustice.
Because unjust rule erodes legitimacy, provokes resistance, and destabilizes the ruler’s own security and survival.
