व्यस्यत्येनं श्रेयस इति व्यसनम् ॥ कZ_०८.१.०४ ॥

Transliteration

vyasyatyenaṃ śreyasa iti vyasanam

Translation

It is called ‘vyasana’ because it throws a person/state off from welfare and advantage (śreyas).
