guṇaprātilomyamabhāvaḥ pradoṣaḥ prasaṅgaḥ pīḍā vā vyasanam
‘Calamity’ may be: inversion of qualities (deterioration), absence (loss), defect/corruption, entanglement (harmful involvement), or affliction (injury/pressure).
