विपर्यये चापं चापकुकुषिः प्रतिष्ठः सुप्रतिष्ठश्च ॥ कZ_१०.६.१३ ॥
viparyaye cāpaṃ cāpakukuṣiḥ pratiṣṭhaḥ supratiṣṭhaś ca
In the reverse arrangement (viparyaya), the «Cāpa» (bow) and «Cāpa-kukuṣi» (bow-belly) are termed «Pratiṣṭha» (stable) and «Supratiṣṭha» (very stable), respectively.
It creates a standardized risk/stability vocabulary for commanders—useful for choosing arrays based on troop quality, terrain, and threat of breakthrough.
