कोद्रववरकोदारकप्रियङ्गूणां त्रिगुणमन्नं चतुर्गुणं व्रीहीणाम् पञ्चगुणं शालीनाम् ॥ कZ_०२.१५.३४ ॥
kodrava-varaka-udāraka-priyaṅgūṇāṃ triguṇam annaṃ caturguṇaṃ vrīhīṇām pañcaguṇaṃ śālīnām
For kodrava, varaka, udāraka, and priyaṅgu, the cooked meal (anna) is threefold; for common rice (vrīhi) it is fourfold; for śāli-rice it is fivefold.
Fine rice typically yields more desirable/expanded cooked output per unit input (and is costlier); the state fixes multipliers to standardize issue and valuation by quality.
