Rules of Purity (Shauca) — Rules of Purity (Śauca), Permissible Foods, and the Duties of the Householder and Forest-Dweller
ऋषय ऊचुः कृतोपनयनः सम्यग् ब्रह्मचारी गुरौ वसेत् तत्र धर्मो ऽस्य यस्तं च कथ्यमानं निशामय
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ kṛtopanayanaḥ samyag brahmacārī gurau vaset tatra dharmo 'sya yastaṃ ca kathyamānaṃ niśāmaya
Die Weisen sprachen: „Nachdem der Schüler die Upanayana-Zeremonie ordnungsgemäß vollzogen hat, soll er als Brahmacārin in rechter Weise beim Guru wohnen. Höre, wie wir die Pflichten darlegen, die ihm während dieses Aufenthalts dort obliegen.“
