स्वकर्मणा धनं लब्ध्वा पितृदेवातिथीनपि सम्यक् संप्रीणयेद् भक्त्या सदाचाररतो द्विजः

svakarmaṇā dhanaṃ labdhvā pitṛdevātithīnapi samyak saṃprīṇayed bhaktyā sadācārarato dvijaḥ

Nachdem er durch seine eigene rechtmäßige Arbeit Reichtum erlangt hat, soll der Dvija—dem Sadācāra (rechter Lebensführung) zugetan—mit Hingabe die Ahnen, die Götter und auch die Gäste in rechter Weise zufriedenstellen.
