Verse 16

Brahmavidya

The individual soul constantly repeats the syllable ‘sa’ and the syllable ‘ha’. (That principle) which has emerged from the navel-aperture is devoid of pervasion into sense-objects.

Hamsa-ajapa-japa; prāṇa as a support for ātma-jñāna; withdrawal from viṣaya (sense-objects)Mahavakya: Indirect support to ‘अहं ब्रह्मास्मि (ahaṃ brahmāsmi)’ via identification of the breath-mantra with the Self; not a direct mahāvākya citation.AtharvaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
