Atma

तद्वद्ब्रह्मविदोऽप्यस्य ब्रह्माहमिति वेदनम् । भानुनेव जगत्सर्वं भास्यते यस्य तेजसा ॥८॥

तद्वत् । ब्रह्म-विदः । अपि । अस्य । ब्रह्म । अहम् । इति । वेदनम् । भानुना । इव । जगत् । सर्वम् । भास्यते । यस्य । तेजसा ॥

tadvat brahmavido’py asya brahmāham iti vedanam | bhānuneva jagat sarvaṃ bhāsyate yasya tejasā ||8||

Ebenso ist für den Brahman-Kenner dieses Wissen — „Ich bin Brahman“ — unmittelbar und unabhängig. Wie durch die Sonne, so wird das ganze Universum durch den Glanz dessen erleuchtet, durch dessen Strahlenkraft alles erstrahlt.

So too, for the knower of Brahman, this knowledge—“I am Brahman”—(is independent/immediate). Like (the world) by the sun, the entire universe is illumined by whose radiance.
