Akshamalika

अथोवाच ये देवाः पृथिवीपदास्तेभ्यो नमो भगवन्तोऽनुमदन्तु शोभायै । पितरोऽनुमदन्तु शोभायै ज्ञानमयीम् अक्षमालिकाम् ॥६॥

अथ । उवाच । ये । देवाः । पृथिवी-पदाः । तेभ्यः । नमः । भगवन्तः । अनुमदन्तु । शोभायै । पितरः । अनुमदन्तु । शोभायै । ज्ञान-मयीम् । अक्षा-मालिकाम् ।

atho uvāca ye devāḥ pṛthivī-padās tebhyo namo bhagavanto 'numadantu śobhāyai | pitaro 'numadantu śobhāyai jñāna-mayīm akṣa-mālikām ||6||

Dann sprach er: „Den Göttern, deren Stätte die Erde ist, ihnen sei Verehrung. Mögen die Ehrwürdigen ihre Zustimmung zum Heilvollen geben; mögen die Väter‑Ahnen ihre Zustimmung zum Heilvollen geben—dieser aus Erkenntnis gewirkten Gebetskette (akṣamālikā).“

Then he said: ‘To those gods whose station is the earth—to them (be) reverence. May the venerable ones grant assent for auspiciousness; may the Fathers grant assent for auspiciousness—to this rosary made of knowledge.’
