ततस्तुष्टिं गतो ब्रह्मा वर्षांते तस्य शार्ङ्गिणः । उवाच वरदोऽस्मीति प्रार्थयस्वाभिवांछितम्
tatastuṣṭiṃ gato brahmā varṣāṃte tasya śārṅgiṇaḥ | uvāca varado'smīti prārthayasvābhivāṃchitam
Dann, am Ende der Regenzeit, wurde Brahmā dem Träger des Śārṅga‑Bogens (Viṣṇu) gewogen und sprach: „Ich bin ein Spender von Gnaden; erbitte, was du ersehnst.“
