यथोक्तविधिना तीर्थे नागानां पंचमीदिने । श्रावणे मासि नो मुक्तः पिता तस्य तथापि सः

yathoktavidhinā tīrthe nāgānāṃ paṃcamīdine | śrāvaṇe māsi no muktaḥ pitā tasya tathāpi saḥ

Doch obwohl es am tīrtha nach der vorgeschriebenen Weise vollzogen wurde—am Nāga-Pañcamī-Tag im Monat Śrāvaṇa—wurde sein Vater dennoch nicht erlöst.
