यथायथा रणार्थाय सदुपायान्करोम्यहम् । तथातथा पराभूतिर्जायते मे महाहवे
yathāyathā raṇārthāya sadupāyānkaromyaham | tathātathā parābhūtirjāyate me mahāhave
„Welche guten Mittel ich auch zum Zwecke der Schlacht ergreife, so entsteht mir doch in jenem übergroßen Krieg immer wieder und wieder die Niederlage.“
