Candra/Soma
Tirtha: Candra-sthāpita Sarva-liṅga-samūha (68)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Candra, hands folded, petitions Devēśa: ‘In every liṅga I established, may your presence abide always for the world’s welfare.’ Multiple liṅgas appear as a sacred panorama behind him.
True devotion seeks blessings not only for oneself but for the welfare of all beings—establishing sacred presence for the world’s benefit.
The verse points to a network of Soma-established Śiva-liṅgas within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s tīrtha landscape, collectively revered as Somēśvara-linked shrines.
It implies liṅga-upāsanā at Soma-established shrines where Śiva’s sannidhāna is sought; the specific timing is clarified in the next verse.
