समुद्रमटवीं युद्धं विशंते लोभमोहिताः । इह तन्नास्ति लोभेन यत्र कुर्वंति मानवाः
samudramaṭavīṃ yuddhaṃ viśaṃte lobhamohitāḥ | iha tannāsti lobhena yatra kurvaṃti mānavāḥ
Von Gier betört stürzen die Menschen in die Wildnis, die einem Ozean gleicht, und in die Schlacht. In dieser Welt gibt es keine Tat des Menschen, die nicht von Gier angetrieben wäre.
