एवं द्वादशवर्षाणि यजतस्तस्य भूपतेः । व्यतीतानि न संप्राप्तमभीष्टं मनसः फलम्

evaṃ dvādaśavarṣāṇi yajatastasya bhūpateḥ | vyatītāni na saṃprāptamabhīṣṭaṃ manasaḥ phalam

So opferte jener König zwölf Jahre lang; doch als diese Zeit verstrichen war, erlangte er nicht die ersehnte Frucht seines Herzenswunsches.
