चिन्तयामास राजेंद्र स्मृत्वावस्थां पितुश्च ताम् । किं करोमि क्व गच्छामि कथं मे स्यात्पितुर्गतिः
cintayāmāsa rājeṃdra smṛtvāvasthāṃ pituśca tām | kiṃ karomi kva gacchāmi kathaṃ me syātpiturgatiḥ
Der König, an den Zustand seines Vaters denkend, sann nach: «Was soll ich tun? Wohin soll ich gehen? Wie kann meinem Vater ein wahrhaft seliger Gang im Jenseits zuteilwerden?»
