स्कांदं पुराणमेतच्च कुमारेण पुरोद्धृतम् । यः शृणोति सतां मध्ये नरः पापात्प्रमुच्यते

Transliteration

skāṃdaṃ purāṇametacca kumāreṇa puroddhṛtam | yaḥ śṛṇoti satāṃ madhye naraḥ pāpātpramucyate

Translation

Dieses Skanda-Purāṇa wurde zuerst vom göttlichen Jüngling (Kumāra) kundgetan. Wer es in der Versammlung der Frommen hört, wird von Sünde befreit.
