दुःशील उवाच । याचस्व त्वं प्रभो शीघ्रं यां ते यच्छामि दक्षिणाम् । तां प्रदास्यामि चेच्छक्तिर्वित्तशाठ्यविवर्जिताम्
duḥśīla uvāca | yācasva tvaṃ prabho śīghraṃ yāṃ te yacchāmi dakṣiṇām | tāṃ pradāsyāmi cecchaktirvittaśāṭhyavivarjitām
Duḥśīla sprach: „O Herr, verlange rasch die Guru-dakṣiṇā, die ich dir darbringe. Wenn ich es vermag, werde ich sie geben — frei von jeder Täuschung in Bezug auf Besitz.“
